EMPLOYEE BENEFITS TRUST MEETING MINUTES
The City of West University Place, Texas, Employee Benefits Trust met on Monday, July 14,
2008, in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 3800 University Boulevard, West University
Place, Texas, 6:35 p.m. to consider the following:
1. Call Meeting to Order
Mayor Kelly called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Those also present: Mayor Pro Tem Fry,
Councilmembers Cohen, Guffey and Talianchich; City Manager Ross, City Attorney Petrov,.
City Secretary Lenz, Human Resources Manager Wendorf, Finance Director Thomas,
Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director Peifer, and Bob Treacy with Waters Consulting
Group
Councilrnernber Fry moved that Council consider items 2 - 11 at one time. Councilmember
Cohen seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.
Ayes: Mayor Kelly, Councilmembers Cohen, Fry, Guffey and Talianchich
Noes: None
2. Consider adopting the City of West University Place Investment Policy as the policy for
investments for the City of West University Place Employee Benefits Trust.
3. Consider designating the depository for the City of West University Place Employee
Benefits Trust as the depository utilized by the City of West University Place.
4. Consider designating that the signatories for the City of West University Place Benefits
Trust be the same utilized by the City of West University Place.
5. Consider designating and authorizing the annual auditors for the City of West University
Place to conduct an audit of the City of West University Place Benefits Trust at such
time that the audit for the City of West University Place is conducted.
6. Consider awarding a contract to United HealthCare for employee medical insurance.
7. Consider awarding a contract to The Guardian for employee dental insurance.
8. Consider awarding a contract to United HealthCare for employee Life / AD&D.
9. Consider awarding a contract to United HealthCare for ernployee disability insurance.

10. Consider awarding a contract to United HealthCare for voluntary vision insurance.
11. Consider awarding a contract to United HealthCare for employee voluntary life and
voluntary dependent life insurance.
Councilmember Cohen moved to approve items 2 - 11. Councilmember Guffey seconded the
motion. MOTION PASSED.
Ayes: Mayor Kelly, Councilmembers Cohen, Fry, Guffey and Talianchich
Noes: None
12. Adjourn
The meeting of the Employee Benefits Trust adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
