.AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 19 41 ~
FOR AND WITHII\f THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS" AGADB T ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY
WITHIN SAID CITY FOR ALL 1nrNICIPAL PURPOSES;
AND LEVYING'A SPECIAL TAX FOR THE PURPOSE OF
MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF THE DEPAR%rn:1.1T OF
HKlU.TH AND SANITATION AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE
IMIlIEDIATELY FROM AND AFI'ER ITS DATE OF PASS-
AGE AND APPROVAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That there be and there is hereby levied against all taxable
property within the corporate limits of the City of West U~iver-
sity Place, Texas, as the same existed on January II 1941, an
ad valorem tax of and at the rate of $l.,O/on each tlOO.OO
valuation of property against the property in said City for the
purpose of raising reve~e for all municipal purposes in said
City for the year 1941/as provided by the laws of this State;
and that there be and there is hereby levied against all taxable
property wi thin the oorporate limits of the City of West ~ /'
University Place, Texas, as the same existed ,on lwaua~y 1, 1941,
a tax of and at the rate of 5 cents on each $100.00 valuation
of prope,rty against the property in said City for the purpose
of raising revenue for the upkeep and maintenance of the
Department of Health and Sanitation as provided by the Home
Rule Charter of the City of West University Place, Texas.
SECTION II.
Said tax is hereby segregated and levied more in detail as
follows:
(1) For the ~urpose of paying interest and providing a sinking
fund for the ,808,877.78 refunding bonds dated on or about
April 10, 1936 on each $100.00 valuation of taxable property.

(2) For the purpose of ~aying interest and ppoviding a sinking
fund for the payment of ,86,000.00 refunding warrants dated on
or about April 10, 1936 on eaoh $100~PO.valuation of taxable
property.

on or about July 7, 1939 on each $100.00 valuation of taxable
property.

fund for the $186,400.00 ?tor.m Sewer Bonds dated on or about
January 1" 1941 on each $100.00 valuation of taxable property.

SECTION III
There being no rule of the City Commission and no prov~s~onto
the contrary in the Charter of said City regarding ordinances
to be read or passed at more than one meeting, it is further
ordered and ordained that this ordinance take effect and be in
