ORDINANCE NO. 204
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNlVEBS IT! PLACE, TEXAS, BY
ANNEXING TO THE CITY CERTAIN ADDITIONAL LAN"D
AND TERRITORY; DESCRIBING THE lAND AND TERRI-
,.TORY SO ANNEXED; AND, PROVIDING WHEN THIS
ORDINANCE Sm~L BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:

That the boundary limits of the City of West
Universi ty Place, Texas, are hereby extended so as to embrace the
folloWing described area of land:
A tract of land in Harris County,
Texas, bound on the North by the north right
of way line of the S. A. and A. P. R. R. Co.;
on the East by the city limit line of the City
9f Houston, on the South by city limit line of
the City of West University Place, and on the
West by the West right of way line T & N. O.
R. R. Co's. Eureka-Stella Cut Off, and more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the South line of
Bissonnet Avenue, said south line being also
the city limit line of the Oity of West
University Place, Texas, at its intersection
with the West line of theJ. S. Dozier Sub-
division out of the A. C. Reynolds Survey, said
east line being also the city limit line of the
City of Housto n.
THENCE northerly with the west line of the
J. S. Dozier Subdivision out of the A. C.
Reynolds Survey, said line being also the
Cityiliimit line of the City of Houston, to
its intersection with the north right of way
line of the S. A. and A. P. R. R. Co.;
THENCE westerly with the north right of way
line Of the said S. A,;, and A. P. R. R.' Co. to
its :dntersection with the west right of way
line of the T. & N. O. R. R. Cots. Eureka-
Stella Cut ,Off;
THENCE southernly wi th the. West right of way
line Of the T. & N. O. R. R. Co's. Eureka~
Stella CutOff to its intersection with ~he
Westerly extension of the South line of
Bissonnet Avenue (Formerly Amherst Avenue in
College Court Place Addition.)

THENCE easterly with the extension of and the
South line of Bissonnet Ave. (Formerly Amherst
Avenue in College Court Place Addition) said
line being alsot the city ~imit line of the
City of West University P~aee, Texas, to the
East line of College Court Place Addition,
said east line being also the East line of
Blocks 17 to 22, inclusive, of College Court
Place, and being also the city limit line of
the City of West University Placet Texas;
THENCE southernly with such East line of
College Court Place addition, said line being
also the East kube if ~locks 17 to 22, inclu-
sive of College Court Place, and being also
the city limit line of the City of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas, to the intersection of the
South line of Richmond Road,said south line
of Richmond Road being also the city limit line
of the City of West University Place , Texas;

THENCE northeasterly with the South line of
Richmond Road,' said line being also the city
limit line of the City of West University
Place, Texas, to its intersec"tion with the
South line of Bissonnet Avenue;
THENCE easterly with the South line of
Bissonnet Avenue, said south line being also
the ci~ limit line of the. City of West Uni-
versity'Place, Texas, to the place o~ be-
ginning. '

That the boundary limits of the City of West
University Place are here declared to be extended by the
annexation to. the City of the hereinabove described land and
territory.
CSE'CTION III
That on and after January 2, 1941, the inhabi-
t~nts of the territory: hereby annexed shall be entitled to all
the rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of West
University Place, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations of the said City of West University
P:l.ace.
SECTION IV

That this ordinance is' passed and approved sub-
sequent to the passage and approval of an ordinance extending
the city limits of the City of West University Place by annexing

to the City:

A tract of land in Harri.s County,
Texas, bounded on the North by the North
line of Bellaire Blvd.; on the East by the
West line of Kirby Drive (or the southernly
projection of the West line of Kirby Drive),
on the South by Brays Bayou, ~nd on the West
by a line parallel to and 4,670 feet West of
Kirby Drive (or the southernly projection of
the West line of Kirby Drive), and mare
particularly described in such ordinance, to
which reference is here made.
SECTION V

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
immediately on and after January 2, 1941.
