AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY" LJJviTI'S OF THE
CI TY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACEt TEXAS, BY
ANNEXING TO THE CITY CERTAIN ADDITIONAL LAND
AND TERRITORY; DESCRIBING THE LAND AND TERRI-
TORY SO ANNEXED; AND, PROVIDING WEEN THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTI VE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY" PLACE, TEXAS: .
SECT! ON 1
Tha t the boundarylimi ts of the City of West
University Place, Texas, are hereby extended so as to embrace the
following described area of land:
A tract of land in Harris County,
Texas, bounded on the North by the North line
of Bellaire Blvd., on the East by the west
line of Kirby Drive, (or the southernly pro-
jection of th~ west line of Kirby Drive) on
the South by Brays Bayou and on the we st by
a line parallel to and 4,670 feet west of
.Kirby Drive, (or the southernly projection
of the west line of Kirby Drive) and more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe marking the inter-
section of the West line of Kirby Drive, said
line being also the West city limit line of the
City of Houston and also the East city limit
line of the City of West Uhiversity Place, Texas,
with the North line of Bellaire Blvd., 120 feet
wide, said line being also the South city limit
line of City of West Universty Place, Texas;
THENCE in a southernly direction with the West
line of Kirby Drive, (or the southw~n1y projec-
tion of the West line of Kirby Drive), said line
being also the West city limit line of the City
of Houston to its intersection with the.left
(or north) bank of Brays Bayou;
THENCE in a westerly direction with the meanderings
of the left (or north) bank of Brays Bayou to a
point on said left (or. north) bank 4,670 feet west
of the west line of Kirby Drive When measured
along a line parallel with Bellaire Blvd.;

THENCE in a northerly direction along a line
parallel with the west line of Kirby Drive,
(or the southernly projection of the west line

of Bellaire Blvd., 4,670 feet west of the West
line of Kirby Drive;
THENCE in an easterly direction with the North
line of Bellatre Blvd. 4,670' feet to the place
of beginning.

That the boundary limits of the City of West.
University Place are here declared to be extended by the
annexation to the City of the hereinabove described land and
territory.
SEOTION III
That on and after January 2, 1941, the inhabitants
of the territory hereby annexed shall be entitled to all the
rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of West
University Place, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations of the said City of West University
Place.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force on and after January 2, 1941.
