BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C OIvThiIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
v~ST UNIVERSITY PLACE,-TEXAS:
SECTiON Oh~: That an election shall be and is hereby
ordered to be held at the City H~ll for
Precinct No. 133 and at the Castie Inn
for Precinct No. 87, in the Gity of
West University Place, Texas, on the
second Tuesday in January, 1941, the
same being the 14th day of January~ A.D.
1941, for the purpose of elect.ing a Mayor
and four Commissioners to serve as Mayor
and Commissioners of the City of West
Universi ty Place unt il the next succeed-
ing general election on the first Tues-
day following the first Monday in Novem-
ber, A. D. 1942.

SECTION TWO: Harry G. Dawson is hereby appointed
presiding officer of said election for
Precinct No. 133 and W. J. Aubertin is
hereby appointed presiding officer of
said election for Precinct No. 87, and
said presiding officers shall each se-
lect two (2) judges and two (2) clerks
to assist him in holding said election.
SECTION THREE: Thirty (30) days notice of said election
shall be given by the City Secretary by
posting in three (3) public places with-
in the City of West University Place,
~exas, one of which shall be at the City
Hall, and by publication in one issue of
the official newspaper of the said City
a notice hereof.
SECTION FOUR: The election shall be held under the
provisions of the Laws of the State of
Texas relating to elections.

SECTION FIVE: Every person who has attained the age
of twenty-one (21) and who has resided
within the limits of the City of West
University Place for the required time
under the Laws of the State and is a
qualified elector under the Laws of the
State shall be entitled to vote at said
election.

SECTION SIX: In the event the proposed new Charter
of the City of West. University Place,
Texas, is approved and adopted in the
election, is approved and adopted in
the election set therefor on Tuesday,
December 17, 1940, then, in such event,
this election shall be held under the
provisions thereof where applicable and
in no conflict with the provisions of
the Laws of the State of Texas.
