"8 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TINE FOR THE MEETING OF THE, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FOR THE YEAR 1940 AND PROVIDING TEAT THE SAIE TAKE EFFECT IUMEDIATELY UPON PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO12IISSIOlSTERS OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE; Section 1. That the Board of Equalization f or the year 1940 of said City of West University Place shall meet, at the City Hall in said City on June 19,1940 1.00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. and from day to day thereafter as shall be determined upon by said Board, to receive all assessment lists and books of the assessor of said City of West University Place, for examination, c©rre.dtionr:' qudlizatzon;; appraisement and approval, and for the purpose of doing any and all other things required of it by the Ordinances of the City of West University Place and the. laws of the State of Texas relating thereto. The compensation to be paid each member of the Board of Equalization shall be geyen Dollars and Fifty t;Pntc (0.50) per day for each day that they serve, or are in meet- ing, which shall not exceed five (5) days from date set forth in Section 1.
