-AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111
Or THE CITY OF VEST UNIVERSITY PLACE,
TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTION 7 CONCERNING
THE SQUARE FOOT DIMENSIONS OF THE DWELL-
INGS IN THE SECOND SINGLE- FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT; BY AMENDING SECTION 16 WITH
REFERENCE TO THE TYPE OF DWELLINGS IN THE
SECOND SINGLE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT;
BY AMENDING SECTION 13 AIITH REFERENCE TO
THE SQUARE FOOT DIlIENSIONS OF THE DKELL-
INGS IN THE EIGHTH SINGLE - FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDIN-
ANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE
all DIATELY FROM ITS PASSAGE AND APPR OVAL .
WHEREAS, by resolution of the Board of Commissioners
of the City of West University Place, Texas, adopted at a regu-
lar meeting of said Board, March 4th, 1940,_ it was determined,
upon the recommendations of the Plan Commission.of the City, to
hold a public hearing with reference to amending Ordinance No.11l,
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, notice of such hearing.was duly published
as required by law and said Ordinance No. 111 and the date of
hearing specified therein as March 25th, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock
P. M. , at the City Hall within the,City of West University
Place, Texas, and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly and seasonably held
on the date 4pecified and the subject matter of this amendment
discussed at length.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSION-
ERS OF THE CITY OF VEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 7 be changed and amended to read as
SQUARE FOOT DIE, !LQIONS OF
D`JVELLIhGS IN SECOND SINGLE- FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT.
The dimensions of the main building in-the .
Second Single- Family Dwelling District, here-
after erected, shall not be less than 1400
square feet;
except that the dimensions of the main
building in the Second Single - Family Dwelling
District, on lots facing South on Centenary
Street, shall not be less than 1250 square feet.

SECTION 2.
That Section 16 be changed " and amended to read
as follows:

UNELLINGS IN SECOND SINGLE - FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT
1. The main building in the Second-Single-
Samily Dwelling District hereafter-erected
shall be. constructed of brick, brick veneer
or stucco within the definition of tb at term
herelnabove given.
except that the main building in the
Second Single- Family Dwelling District, on
lots facing South on Centenary Street, here
after erected, shall be constructed of brick,
brick veneer, stucco, wood or other material.
24 Accessory buildings may be constructed of
brick, brick veneer, stucco, wood or other
materials.
That Section 13 be changed and amended to read as
- follows
SQUARE FOOT DIMENSIONS OF
DWELLINGS IN THE EIGHTH SINGLE - FAMILY
QUELLING DISTRICT
The dimensions of the main building in the
Eighth Single - Family Dwelling District here -
after erected shall not be less than 900
square f set;
except that the dimensions of the main
building in the Eighth Single - Family Dwelling
District, on -Lots 1 through 38 inclusive in
Block 36, facing East, in Colonial Terrace,
Lots 1 through 40 inclusive, in Block 37, in
Colonial Terrace, and Lots 1 through 44, in-
clusive, in Block 1, in College Court, shall
not be less than 800 square feet.
SECTION 4.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, in so far as they conflict, are herewith repealed.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force

immediately from and after its passage and approval.
