AS NO. 5, PERMITPI NG THE, ERECTION AND CONSTRUC-
TION OF DUPLEXES OR APARTMENT HOUSES IN A
SPECIFIC PART IN THE FOURTH : -SINGLE - FAY -_ILY
DIAMLLING DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE IM-
IvIEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER. ITS PASSAGE AND AP-
PROVAL.
.- WHEREAS, by resolution of the Board of Com-
missioners of the City of West University Place, Texas, adopt -
ed`at a; regular meeting of said Board October 30, 19392 it
was determined, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City, to hold a public hearing with reference to amend-
ing Ordinance No. 111, commonly known and designated as the
"Zoning Ordinance ", and
WHEREAS, notice of such hearing was duly
published, as required by law, and said Ordinance No. 111,
and the date and hour specified therein was November 20th,
1939, at 7:30 otclock P. M., at the City Hall within the City
of West University Place, Texas and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly and seasonably held
on the date specified and the subject matter of this amendment
discussed at length.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE-BOARD OF COM-
MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF v1EST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 111 be amended
by the insertion therein of a new sub - paragraph to be known as
"(5)"f which reads as follows:
Apartment Houses and Duplexes in the Fourth
Single- Family Dwelling District on lots facing South on
Wroxton Road between Kirby Drive and Wakeforest Street, and
Duplexes -in the Fourth Single - Family Dwelling District on lots
facing North on Wroxton Road between Kirby Drive and Wakeforest
Street. Except, however, no Apartment House shall be erected or
constructed nearer than 15 feet from the front property line.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith, in so far.as they conflict, are herewith re-
pealed.

This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force immediately from and after its passage and
approval.
