ORDINANCE NO. ' 100
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS,
BY AMENDING SECTION 8, CONCERNING SQUARE
FOOT,DIMENSIONS OF DWELLINGS IN THE THIRD
SINGLE-FAlv'LILY mVELLING DISTRICT; BY AMEND-
ING SECTION 17, CONCERNING TYPE ,OF CONSTRUC-
TION OF DWELLINGS IN THE THIRD SINGLE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THj-.T THI S
ORDINANCE S!:-IALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE
I~~HEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND
APPROVAL.

WHEREAS, by resolution of the Board of Commissioners
of the City of West University Place, Texas, adopted at a regular
meeting of said B08~d on the
day of
1939, upon the fail-
lire of the Plan Commission of the City to so recommend, to hold a
public hearing with reference to amending ordinance No. 111, com-
monly knovVTI as the Zoning Ordinance, and

WHEREAS, NOTICE of such hearing lias duly published as
required by law and said ordinance No. 111, and the date of the
hearing specified therein as the 19th day of June, 1939, 'at 8:00
o'clock P. M., at the City Hall within the City of West University
Place, Texas, and

WHEREAS, said hearing was duly and seasonably held on
the date specified and the subject matter of this amendment dis-
cussed at length.
THEREFORE, BE I T ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI'IlMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSI~Y PLACE; TEXAS;
SECTION 1.
That section 8 of said ordinance be amended, supplement-

ed and changed to read as follows:

SQUARE FOOT DIMENSIONS CF
DWELLINGS IN THIRD SINGLE-
FAMILY DWELLING DI STRICT.
(1) The dimensions of the main building in that part
of the third-single-family dwelling district
bounded by Duke, Wakeforest, Cason and Vanderbilt
Streets, including all such main buildings front-
ing on Duke Street and facing North; including
all such main buildings fronting on Wakeforest
Street and facing East; including all such main
buildings fronting on Cason Street and facing
South; including all such main buildings front-
ing on Vanderbilt Street and facing either East
or West, hereafter erected shall not be less
than 1350 square feet.
(2) The dimensions of the main buildings in the third
single-family dwelling .district, except as specif-
ically provided for in sub-paragraph (1) above,
hereafter erected shall not be less than 1250
square feet.

That section 17 of said ordinance be amended, supple-
mented and changed to read as follows:
TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION OF
DWELLINGS IN THIRD SINGLE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT.
(1) The main building in that part of the third single-
family dwelling di s tric t bounded by Duke, Wakefores t,
Cason, and Vanderb~lt Streets, inCluding such main
buildings fronting on Duke Street and facing North;
including such main buildings fronting on Wakeforest
Street and facing East; incluaing such main build-
ings fronting on Cason Street and facing South;
including such main buildings fronting on Vanderbilt
Street and facing either.East or West, hereafter
erected shall be constructed of brick, brick veneer
or stucco within the definition of that term here-
inabove given.

(2) The main building in the third singl'e-family dwell-
ing district, except as specifically provided for
in sub-paragraph (1) above, hereafter erected shall
be constructed of brick, brick veneer or stucco
within the definition of that term hereinabove
given, or of wood or other material.
(3) . Accessory buildings may be constructed of brick,
