AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 of ORDI-
NANCE 147 ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COM-
MIS S IONERS OF TI-D~ CITY OF VIEST UNIv ERSTY
PLACE, TKZAS, ON NOVH~BER 9, 1938 TO PRO-
VIDE FOR THE RENpITION OF ANNUAL RE?ORTS BY
SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COlv;PANY TO THE
CITY OF WEST UldVERSITY PI;. CE; PROVIDING
THAT ALL ORIDINANCES AHD P ARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH ARE REPEALED IN SO FAR
AS CONCERNS SUCH CONFLICTS; AND, PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDTI\fANCE SHALL TAKE EFl"ECT AND
BE IN FORCE Il\ll\TEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER THE
DA'llE Oil' ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOAhD OF COHMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PL.A.CE" TK\.AS:
Section 1.
Section 15 of Ordinance No. 147 adopted by the
Board of ComDissioners of the City of West University Place,
Texas, on November 9, 1938, shall hereafter read as follows:
SECTION 15 - BOOKS, RECORDS AND ACCOUNTS
OF T:ELEPHONl!. COMPANY TO BE OPEN TO CITY -
ANNUAL REPORT TO BE lEADE BY COLPANY.
The record~, books and accounts of the Telephone
CompanJ shall at all reasonable times be open to inspection,
examination and verification by the City, or by its duly auth-
orized representative, for any purpose reLating to the carry-
ing o~t of this agreement or the exercise by the City of its
right and power or regulation of the Telephone Company's rates
and service.' Annually on t~e 15th day of April, the Telephone
Company shall make a report to the City specifically showing
in detail and by revenue accounts the auount of gross receipts
received by the Company during the precedin& calendar year
from the rendition of local exchange telephone transmission
service within the City. This report shall be subject to
verification and check or audit by the City or by its author-
ized representative, and the City may require the company to
make such other and additional reports as from til<le to time may
be necessary to the reasonable and proper exercise by the City
of its powers 0;[' regulation over the Company's rates and ser-
yice. Any report or reports that may be required by the City
shall conform to and be in accordance with the system of
Accounts prescr~bed for Telephone Companies by the Federal
Communi~ tions vommissioner, effective January 1, 1936, and
the amendments thereto.

All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict with this ordinance are hereby repe~led in so far.as
concerns such conflict.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force immediately from and after its passage and approval.
