AN ORDr'lANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1938 FOR AND WITHIN THE CITY OP vVEST U1~IVERSITY .PLACE, TEXAS, AGAINST ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY FOR ALL MUNICIPAL PURPOSES Al\lD PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CONWIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied against all taxable property within t~e Gorporate limits of the City of West University ~lace, Texas, as the same existed on January 1, 1938, an ad valorem tax of and at the rate of $1.50 on each $100.00 valuation of property against the property in said City for the purpose of raising Devenue for all munici- pal purposes for the year 1938 as provided by the laws of this State. Se'c tion2. Said tax is hereby segregated and levied more in de- tail as follows: (1) For the purpose of paying interest and providing a sinking fund for the ~800,000.00 refunding bonds dated on or about April lOth, 1936, on each $100.00 valuation of taxable property. ?4.7 (2) For th~ purpose of paying interest and providing a sinking fund for the payment of $84,000.00 refunding warrants dated on or about April 10, 1936, on each ~lOO.OO ~aluation of taxable property_ ~~~ t't (3) For the purpose of providing funds for penses of the City, on each ~100.00 valuation property_ current ex- of tafCable 64.8 Aggregating $1.50 on each $100.00 valuation on aJl taxable property of said City.
