AN OHDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF ACQUIRING CERTAIN
LAND BY THE CITY OF v-lEST UNTVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AUTHORIZ-
ING THE DISBURSAL OF THE SUM OF $500.00 AS CONSIDERATION FOR
PURrnASE OF A TRACT OF LAi.\JD MEASURING 26.6 I NORTII AND SOUTH
AND 100 I EAST AND vVEST AND ADJOINING ON THE SOUTH AND ADJACENT
TO LOT 1, BLOCK 36, COLONIAL TEHRACE ADDITION; ASSUMING RE-
SPONSIBILITY FOR PA.VJ:vIENT OF 1972 AD VALOREM TAXES; JlND PROVID-
ING JIN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COI1MISSION OF T.:i-ffi CITY OF WEST TJNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby determines the necessity for
the acquisition of a tract of land measuring 26.6 I north and south and 100 I
east and west and adjoining on the south and adjacent to Lot 1, Block 36,
Colonial Terrace Addition for use by the city in its operations.
Section 2. That the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized
to disburse the sum of $500.00 to Ruth Cheswick, Harris County, Texas, as con-
sideration for her execution and conveyance of a General Harranty Deed to the
City of v'Jest Uni versi ty Place, Texas of said property.
Section 3. The City of Hest Uni versi DJ Place hereby assumes the re-
sponsibility for payment of 1972 ad valorem taxes whic.'1 nay be due the State of
Texas, County of Harris, Houston Independent School District and City of v'Jest
Uni versi ty Place, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay such taxes
when they become due and payable.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect imnediately from and
after its passage and approval as required by law.
