HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 977 - ORD Authorizing Mayor to Execute a General Warranty Deed 222 ORDINANCE NUMBER 977 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, TO EXECUTE A GENERAL WARRANTY DEED CONVEYING TO A. G. HAJOVSKY, AND WIFE, BARBARA SUE, TWO (21) FEET OF LAND OFF OF A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT CARNEGIE AND WAKEFOREST STREETS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMM~SSION Of THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section l. That the City of West University Place, Texas, being the owner of a tract of land located at the intersection of Carnegie and Wake- forest Streets, has agreed to convey two (21) feet of said property as here- inafter described, to A. G. Hajovsky, and wife, Barbara Sue. Section 2. That upon receipt by the City from A. G. Hajovsky the sum of Three Hundered and No/100 ($300.00) Dollars cash, Mayor John N. Neigh- bors, be and he is hereby, authorized to execute in behalf of the City a General Warranty Deed to said A. G. Hajovsky, and wife, Barbara Sue, convey- ing the property located in Harris County, Texas, and in particular described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the west right-of-way line of Wakeforest. Said point being fifty (501) feet northerly from the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block l8, West University Place First Addition; THENCE, westerly, parallel to the north line of the above said Lot I, Block l8, West University Place First Addition, a distance of one hundred forty (l401) feet; THENCE, southerly, parallel to the west right-of-way I ine of Wake- forest, a distance of two (21) feet; THENCE, easterly, parallel to the north 1 ine of the above said Lot l, Block l8, a distance of one hundred forty (1401) feet to an iron pin in the west right-of-way I ine of Wakeforest; THENCE, northerly, along the west right-of-way 1 ine of Wakeforest a distance of two (21) feet to the place of beginning. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force im- mediately from and after its approval as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of March, 1972, A.D.
