ORDINANCE NUMBER 976
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS BY ADDING TO THE REQUIRE-
MENTS RELATIVE TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF TRADESMEN IS
VEHICLES BY REQUIRING THE KIND OF BUSINESS AND TELEPHONE
NUMBER BE SHOWN AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT OROAINCEO BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNI-
VERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Section 16-13 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of West University Place, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows:
IlSection 16-13. Identification of Vehicles.
It shall be the duty of each and every builder, carpenter
electrician, gas fitter, plumber, contractor or appl iance
service dealer to place or cause to be placed on each side
of any vehicle, which such person shall use in the course
of his business, his name, address, kind of business, tele-
phone number, and such other pertinent information as may
be required by the city, in bold, easily legible letters.
Failure of any person to so identify his vehicle or vehi-
cles shall constitute a misdemeanor.l'
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force im-
mediately from and after its approval as required by law.
