ORDINANCE NUMBER 972
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 953; CHANGING
THE RATES FOR MOWING VACANT LOTS; PROVIDING A BEGINNING
DATE OF FEBRUARY 1 FOR NEW RATES; AND PROVIDING AN EF-
FECT I VE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section l. That Ordinance Number 953 passed on January 11, 1971,
is hereby expressly repealed and the subject matter of said Ordiance is
hereafter controlled and governed by the provisions of this ordiance.
Section 2. That the following charges be placed into effect
for mowing and cleaning of vacant lots in the City of West University Place:
$0.30 per lOO square feet with a minimum charge of
$25.00 on an annual basis,
and that there be levied a $5.00 fee for the fil ing of a lien where the
property owner refuses to clean the property or pay for same and the city
is required to perform this service with its employees and equipment,
and that there will be an additional $5.00 fee for the release of said
lien.
Section 3. These rates to become effective February l, 1972.
