SLCTIOH 1. ~hat the City Coramission has been made aware of amend-
~en0S to Article 666-4 and Article 667-10J Vernon1s 'lexas Penal Code which
extends tGe time for the lalvful sale of alcoholic beverQges u~til 2:00 a.m.
under certain conditions.
SECTION 2. That the City Cowaission is aware that it Las been given
the authority by Section 667-1~ to regulate the hours of sale of beer and/or
wine within the corporate limits of the City.
SECTION 3. Section 4-2 of the ~ode of Ordinances of the Ci~y of West
PlaceJ Texas is hereby amended so tha"L hereafter said Section shall
read as follows:
11 Section 4-2. CLOSING HOURS FOR SALES.
(a) It shall be unlawful between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and
7:00 a.m. of any week day and between the hours of 1:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m. on any Sunday for any person to consu~e any alco-
holic beverageJ or for any person vJho mmsJ operatesJ manages
or is in charge of any place either personally or by agentJ
servant or employeeJ or for any agentJ servant or employee of
any su~h person to per~it the consumption of any alcoholic
beverage at any of the hereinafter designated places within
0Le city,. to-wit:
(1) On the premises of any person hold~ng or required
to have a license under any by virtue of the Texas
Liquor Control Act and/or tre ordinances of the city.
(2) Any restaurantJ cafe or eating establishment.
(3) public dance hall.
(4) pur lic Louse of amusel21ent.
(5) Any public streetJ parkJ place or thoroughfareJ
raihray; interurban or bus station; te.cminal or
depot.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell beer and/or wine
or offer the same for sale wit}lin the corporate limits of tee City
betvleen tne hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. of any week day and
betvreen Ule hours of 1:00 a.Pl. and 1:00 p.m. on any Sunday.!!

SECTION 4. Ordinance Ntuuber 934 is hereby in all things repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immedia-
tely after its passage and approval and publication as required by law.
