FRANK AS MAYOR AND ~rnER OF ~HE CITY CO~MISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; DETERMINING THAT A VACANCY EXISTS IN THE OFFICE OF THE MAY; AP- POINTING HOMER L. RAlvISEY MAYOR OF THE CITY OF vJEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; Al~D PROVIDING Alii EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO~MISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: WHEREAS, ~ne Honorable B. E. Frank, Mayor of the City of West University Place, Texas, has advised the City Co~mission that his employer has designated him as Senior Geophysicist at an office outside the limits of the State of Texas which requires that he reside at such location; and WHERK~S, the Honorable B. E. Frank has tendered his written re- signation effective March 1, 1969, as Mayor and member of the City Commission of the City of West University Place, Texas, because of the removal of his place of residence outside of the corporate limits of the C of West Uni- versity Place; and \^lrlliREAS, the City Commission hereby accepts, vTith sincere regret, the resignation of the Mayor B. E. Frank; and WHEREAS, the City ComInission has determined the necessity of appointing another qualified person to fill the unexpired term of Mayor B. E. Fran};: . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 'I'HE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PU~CE, TEXAS; Section 1 That in accordance with the provisions of Article IV, Section 13, of the Charter of the City of West University Place, Texas, the Commissim, by majority vote, hereby s and appoints Homer L. Ramsey as Mayor of the City of West University Place, Texas to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Honorable B. E. Frank. Section 2. That said Homer L. Ramsey shall seve as mayor and member of the C Commission from this date until the next general election in said City and until the election and qualification of his successor. Section 3.. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force im- mediately from its passage and approval as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 2~-th day of March, 1969. Commissioners All None ATTEST:
