AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ,~D ASSESSING AN AD VALORKM TAX ON
ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHI~ THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TE~AS FOR THE YEAR 1967;
PROVIDING THE BASIS OF ASSESS~lliNT OF ~ARKET OR ACTUAL
VALUE AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THERE OF AT THE RATE
OF $1.43 ON THE 01~-HUNDRED DOLLAR ($100) ASSESSED VALUATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PL.!\CE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed against all
taxable property, both real and personal, within the corporate limits of
such city, a tax of $1.43 on the one-hundred dollar ($100) assessed tax
valuation for the year 1967.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed In accordance
with the terms and provisions of Section 1 of Article XXI of the City of
West University Place City Charter and the applicable Statutes of the State
of Texas, such levy and assessment is made for the following purposes, to wit:
(A) For the upkeep and maintenance of the Department of
Health and Sanitation ~ .05
(B) For current expense and operation of the General Fund
and its various departments 1.08
(C) For Tax Revenue Fund, to pay the principal and
interest on the bonded indebtedness of the C , as

Section l. The Tax Assessor and Collector for the C of West
University Place, Texas is hereby directed to assess and collect taxes on all
of the property, both real and personal, within the corporate limits of the C
of West Univers Place, Texas on the basis of forty- percent (40%) of market
or actual value for the year 1967 and collection thereof at the rate of on
the one-hundred ($100) assessed valuation as herein provided.
