Special City Council Meeting Minutes
The City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas, met on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in the Municipal Building at 3800 University Boulevard, for the purpose of considering the agenda of
items listed. The meeting was held in person and the public was able to listen via Zoom.
1.Call Meeting to OrderMayor Sample called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were Councilmembers, Brettand Hart. Staff in attendance were City Manager Beach, City Secretary Garcia, and City Attorney Smith(Olson and Olson).
2. Public CommentsThis is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council relating to agenda and non-agenda items.Speakers are required to register in advance and must limit their presentations to three minutes each.
If the topic the speaker wishes to address is on the agenda, the speaker may either speak at this timeor defer his/her comments until such time the matter is discussed.
No public comments were received.
3.Ordinance Canvassing the Results of May 3, 2025, General and Special (Charter) ElectionMatters related to Ordinance 3086 canvassing the results of May 3, 2025, General and SpecialElection on First and Final Reading.
Motion made by Councilmember Hart, seconded by Councilmember Brett to approve and adoptOrdinance 3086 on First and Final Reading.
Motion passed unanimously.
4.Ordinance Canvassing the Results of May 3, 2025, Special (Bond) Election
Matters related to Ordinance 3087 canvassing the results of May 3, 2025, Special Bond Election onFirst and Final Reading.
Motion made by Councilmember Hart, seconded by Councilmember Brett to approve and adoptOrdinance 3087 on First and Final Reading.
Motion passed unanimously.

Motion made by Councilmember Hart to adjourn the Special City Council meeting, seconded byCouncilmember Brett.
