AN .ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CANCELLATION AND
REMISSION OF PENALTIES AND INTEREST ON ALL
DELINQUENT TAXES DUE CITY OF ~~ST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS, PROVIDED SAID TAXES TOGETHER WITH
COSTS ARE PAID ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 31ST, 1932;
P.ROVIDING THAT 'l'HIS,0RDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT
AND BE,IN FULL FORCE IMMEDIATELY AFTER ITS PASSAGE
AND APPROVAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF VIlEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:

Section 1.
All penalties and ,interest on delinquent municipal
ad valorem taxes due City-of West University Place, Texas, are here-
by cancelled and remitted, provided the full amount of taxes due,
together with the accrued costs are paid on or prior to October 31st,
1932. If, however, same are not so paid within' the time specified
herein; then legal penalti~s, together' with 6% int.erest from and
after the respective date~said taxes are due, to-wit: JanuaryTst
of each year, shall, become due and payable.
Section 2.
All payments.",pf delinquent taxes shall be made to
the City Attorney who, upon payment of the full amount of taxes due

together with accrued costs, is directed and instructed to issue a
delinquent tax receipt showing payment thereof.
Section 3.
This remission of penalties and interests shall in
no m~nner prevent, or be construed to prevent, the filing of suit
for the collection of any delinquent taxes due said City, whether
I-I ad valorem or other character of taxes.

Section 4.
There being no by-law, or ordinance or law relating
to the time of the taking effect of ordinances, this ordinance, there-
fore, shall take effect and be in force immediately after passage
and approval by the Board of Commissioners of the City of West Uni-

versity Plaoe, Texqs.
Passed and, approved this the 14th day of October,
1932.
