HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 127 - gas meters o D o 155 ORDINANCE NO. /Z 7 AN ORDINANCE REQUIRn~G THAT ,ALL GAS METERS BE EQUIPPED WITH APROPER REGULATOR IN GOOD WORK- ING ORDER AND 'THAT SM~E BE SO,SET THAT THE GAS PRESSURE 'GOING INTO ANY BUILDING LOCATED WITH- IN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERITY PLACE, TEXAS, SHALL BE 4 OUNCES; PRO- 'VIDING THE GAS PRESSURE GOING INTO ANY BUILDING WITHIN THE CITY SHALL BE 4 OUNCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVID~ ING THAT ALL ORDn~ANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE ARE HEREBY REPEAL- ED; AND, PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE IN FORCE n~MEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND AFPROVAL. BE IT ORDAINED THE BOARD OF COMMISSIOmERS OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section 1. Each gas meter heretofore installed within the corporate .\..-". lim~ts of the City of West University Place, Texas, shall be immediately equipped with a proper regulator in good working order and so set that the pressure of the gas going into any building within the City shall be 4 ounces. Section 2. Each gas meter hereafter installed within the corporate limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, shall be equipped with a ppoper regulator in good working order and so set that the pressure of the gas going into any building within the City shall be 4 ounces. Section 3. Such regulators shall be regularly inspected for the purpose of checking the gas pressure and to see if they are in good working order. Such inspection shall be immediately made upon request from the City or any of its officials. Section 4~ The pressure of the gas going into each and all build- ings within the City shall be so regulated that it shall have a pres sure of 4 ounces. Se~-r.jon 5. If any corporation, person, partnership or associa- tion, or any employe thereof, violates any provision of this ordinance it or he, as the case may be, shall be guilty of an offense, and upon conviction in the Corpora- tion Court of the City, shall be fined in any sum not to ex- ceed $100.00; and, each day such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense, punishable as herein provided. SAC t:i O!A 6 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 7.
