AN ORDINANCE IEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR
1937, FOR AND WITHIN' THE CITY OF VfEST UNI-
VERSIT Y PLA6Ej TEXAS, A@AINST ALL TAXABLE
PROPERTY IN SAID CITY FOR ALL MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES AND PROVIDING TF..AT SAID ORDINANCE
TAKE EFFECT I~llJEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMlUSSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1.
That there be and there is hereby .levied against all
taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of
West University Plac'e , Texas, as the same existed on the 1st
day of January, A. D. 1937, an Ad Valorem Tax of and at the
rate of $1.50 qn each $100 valuation against the property in
said City fo~ the purpose of raising revenue for all municipal
purposes, for the year 1937, as provided for by the laws of
this state.
Said tax is hereby segregated and levied more in
detail for the following purposes:

(a) For the purpose of paying interest and to
provide a sinking fund for refunding bonds,
Series of April 10, 1936, in the amount of
$808,877.78, on each $100 valuation of tax~
able property, <1' 1- ~
(b) For the purpose of paying interest and to
provide a sinking fund for the purpose of re-
funding warrants, Series of April 10, 1936,
in the amount of $86,000.00, on each $100
valuation of taxable property,

(c) For the purpose of providing funds for
current expenses of saidCity, on each $100
valuation of taxable property,
Aggregating tl.50 on each $100 valuation on all
taxable property in said City.
Section .2.

There being no rule of this commission requiring
ordinances to be read or passed at more._than one meeting,
It is further ordained that this ordinance take effect and
be in forc~ immediately from and after its passage and ap-
proval.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 31st day of August,
A. D. 193'7.
