AN ORDINANCCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. PROVIDING
FOR THE TIME OF !HE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ~QUAL-
IZATION OF THE CITY OF ~ST UNIVERSITY PIACE,TEXAS
FCR THE YEAR 1936; .PROVIDING THEm DUTIES AND THEm
COMPENSATION; PROVIDnfG I THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE IMMEDIATELY UPON
PASSAGE AND APPROVAL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COOUSBL ONms OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
SECTION I.
The Board of Equalization for the year 1936 of said
City of West University Place, Texas, shall meet at the City
Hall in said City on ~tI 1. V /f 1936, at 8 . 0 'clock
. A. M. and. from day to day therEfafter as shall be determined
upon by $aid Board, to recei~e all assessment lists and books
of the Assessor of said City of West University Place, for ex-
amination, correction, equalization, appraisement and approval,
and for 'the purpose of doing any and all other things required
of it by Ordinaces of the City of West University Place, Texas,
and the Laws of the State of Texas relating thereto.
SECTION II.
The compensation to be paid each member of the Board
of Equalization shall be Five Dollar ($5.00) per day for each
day that. 'they serve, or are in meet1ngfrom "7'-'/- 1936.
until their work is completed, but not later than ten days (10)
after 1- I rr .... 1936.
SEC~ION III.
This Ordinance shall take. effect immediately upon its
l'ASSAGE and APPROVAL due to the emergency existing.
