ORDINANCE NUMBER 99
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ALTITUDE FOR THE
FLYING OF AIR PLANES OR ANY LIGHTER THAN Am
CRAFT OVER. THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE~
PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF
THIS ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED'BY THE BOARD OF CavIMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIV:ER SITY PlACE:
SECTION 1.
. It shall be unlawi'ul to fly an airplane, balloon~ or
any lighter than air craft over any area of the City of West
University at a dangerous height in the air of less than 200
feet from ground level~ except for the purpose of landing at
a landing field located within the City of West University
Place, and except that failing cond:i-tion of airplane, balloon~
or any lighter than air craft beyond control of operator makes
this impossible, and then all reasona91e precaution Shall be
taken by operator to maintain a geight of over 200 feet.
SECTION 11.
VIOLATION OF THIS, QR ANY P.!\RT OF THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BE PUNIfHABLE BY A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN (25.00)
,TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS~ AND NOT OVER ($200.00) TWO HUNDRED
DOLLARS, EACH OFFENSE TO CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE VIO~TION.

This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval.
