HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 91B Levying taxes for 1934 88 o ORDINANCE NUMBER ~ AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1934, FOR AND WI WIN THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, AGAINST ALL TAXABLE PROP:ERTY IN SAID CITY FD R ALL MUNIC IffiL PURPO SES AND PROVIDn~G THAT SAID ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIA TELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF WEST WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE: SECTION I. THAT there be and there is hereby levied against all taxa- ble property within the corporate limits of the City of West Univ- ersity Place, Texas ,as the same existed on the 1st. day of Jan- uary, 1934, and ad valorem tax of and at the rate of One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) on each one hundred Do~lars valuation of property in said City for the purpose of raising revenue for all municipal purposes, for the year 1934, as provided by the laws of this state. D Said tax is hereby segregated, and levied, more in detail, for the following purposes, to wit: (a) For the purpose of paying interest and providing sinking fund for the Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollar ($350,000) . Funding Bonds that are dated on or about March 1st., 1927. on each One Hundred Dollar val- o uation of taxable property. (b) For. the purpose of paying interest and providing sinking fund for the payment of the Three Hundred and Twenty Six Thou- sand Dollar. ($326,000) Funding Bonds that are dated on or about January 1st., 1929, on each one hundred dollar valuation of taxable property. (c) For the purpose of providing for the pa:yment of interest and providing sinking fund for the pa~ent for the One Hundred and Forty Thousand, Eight-Hundred.and Seventy-Seven Dollars and . Seventy-Eight Cents ($140,877.78), dated on or about October lOth. 1931.~ . On each one hundred dollar valuation of taxable property. (d) For the purpose of providfug for the ptymen t of interest and providing sinking funds, for the payments of other legal obligations, on the one hundred doll at' valuation of taxable ;property. L 1 34 Aggregating One Dollar and:Fifty Cent ($1.50) on each One Hundred Dollar valuation on-all taxam1e property of said City. There being no rule of this Commission requiring Ordi- nances to be read or passed at more than one meeting, it is further ordained that this Ordinance take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
