_ORDINANCE NO-1fL.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANOE NO.88 PROVIDING
FOR THE TIME OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EQUAL-
IZATION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLAOE~ TEXAS
FOR THE YEAR 1934;; PROVIDING TEEIR DUTIES AND THEIR
OOMPENSATION;: PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE
EFFEOT AND BE IN FULL FOROE IMMEDIATELY UPON PASSAGE
AND APPROVAL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:

SECTION I.
The Board of Equalization for the year 1934 of said
City of West University ~lace, Texas~ shall meet at the City
Hall in said City on July 16th, 1934 at 10 o'clock A.M., and
_ from day to day thereafter as shall be determined upon by said
Board~ to receive all assessment lists and books of the Assess-
or ~f said City of West University Place, for examination, cor-

rection,equalization, appraisement and approval~ and for the
purpose of doing any and all other things required of it by
Ordinances of the Oity of West University Place, Texas, and
the Laws of the State of Texas relating thereto.
SECTION II.
The compensation to be paid each member of the
Board of Equalization shall be Five Dollars ($5.00) per day
for each day that they serve, or are in meeting from July
16th~ 1934 until their work is completed, but not later than
ten days (10) after July 16th, 1934.
SECTION III.
This Ordinance shall take effect innnediately upon
..its. PASSAGE and APPROVAL due to the emergency existing.

On all 1934 adv&:lorem taxes due the City ot
West University B~ace there shall be allowed a discount of
- 3% of the amount. of suehtaxes shown by the tax re11s, if
paid on or before October 5,.1934, and 2% if paid on or
before Noveml?er 5, .193:4. After November 5, 1934 the full
amount of. such.. taxes must be paid without any discount

SECTIom II.

Upon the pa:vment of sueh taxes less the dis-
count of 3% if paid by October 5, 1934, and 2% if paid by .

SECTION III.
