AN _ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PENALTY RATE
ON ALL 1933 ADVALOREIVI TAXES DUE THE CITY OF
wEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; PROVIDING DATE
OF INCREASE IN PENALTIES AND SETTING THE
DATE OF MAY 3rd, 1934 BEFORE THE FULL 10%
WILL BE IN EFFECT;; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORD-
rNANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE
IMMEDIATELY AFTER ITS PASSAGE Al\!D ApPROVAL;
AND DE CLAR IN G AN EMERGEN GY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
SECTION I.
On and after January 31st, 1934 the penalty on 1933
Delinquent taxes shall be 3% of the amount of taxes due,
if paid on or before April 3rd, 1934. And 6% penalty on

amount of taxes due if paid between April 4th and May 3rd,
1934. On and after May 4th, 1934 the usual 10% penalty on
the amount of taxes due shall be in effect.
SECTION II.
Upon the payment of such taxes plus the penalties
as contained in Section I hereof, the Tax Collector is
directed to issue tax receipt therefor.
SECTION III.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
innnediately after the date of its passage and approval.
