ORDINANCE NUMBER 1334
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1301 WHICH
APPROVED THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE. TEXAS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY
1. 1988, AND ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 2. 1987.
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of West University Place.
Texas. has on certain dates and occasions found it necessary.
worthwhile and expedient to expend funds of the city for the best
interest and welfare of its citizens for items which were not
considered. nor incurred. in the original budget; and
WHEREAS. it is the desire of the City Council to increase
various items of income and expenditure known to be in excess of the
amount provided for in the original budget. so that the amount of
additional expenditure may be offset by a like amount of additional
income.
NOW. THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the budget of the City of West University Place
for the 12-month period beginning January 1. 1988. and ending
December 31. 1988 as heretofore adopted be. and it is hereby. amended
to be provided for transfers within each division or department as
indicated on budget document and for additional expenditures and
revenues. from the General Fund. Capital Projects Fund and Water
Sewer Fund as shown by the following schedule:

Section 2. ADDITIONAL INCOME. The City Council hereby
determines it advisable to revise and alter the items of the budget
to increase the total expenditure and also increase the total
anticipated income so that the total mean of financing the budget
shall eoual in amount the aggregate proposed expenditures.
Section 3. The additional income required for revisions of the
budget hereby appropri a ted alld approved by i nc rE::as i ng the revenue
accounts and available cash of the General Fund, Capital Project Fund
and Water Sewer Fund as shown by the following schedule:

Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph,
section or other part of this ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the
remainder of this ordinance and the application of such word, phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this ordinance
to any other persons or circumstance shall not be affected hereby.
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 6. The City Council officially finds, determines and
declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place
and subject of each meeting at which this ordinance was discussed,
considered or acted upon was given in the manner required by the Open
Meetings Law, TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. 6252-17, as amended,
and that each such meeting has been open to the public as requi by
law at all times during such discussion, consideration and action.
The City Council ratifies, approves and confirms such notices and the
contents and posting thereof.

Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately from and after its passage and approval as required by
law.

1988.
