AN ORDINANCE AUTIIORIZING THE MAYOn. TO OPFER A STANDING REV1ARD
OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF ANY
PERSON GUILTY OF ARSON COMMJT TED IN THE CITY OF WEST UNIVEH-
SI'1'Y PLACE, AND APPROPRIAT ING ONE HUNDRED DOD~ARS FROB THE
GENERAL FUND; REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YVES'l'

Secti on 1.
The mayor is hereby authorized to offer a standing
reward of One Hundr'ed ~ollars (~~lOO. 00), payable to the persoh
or persons who shall be responsible for the arrest and convic-
tion of 8,ny pel'son guilty of arson committed in the City of
West University Place.
Section 2.'
There is here now appropriated from the Gene ral Fund
the sUm of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to be paid by prOper
voucher to the person or persons entitled thereto under this
ordinance.
Section 3.
That.all prior ordinances covering the sUbJect':'matter
of this ordinance and all prior o:J:'dinances Or any parts thereof
that are in conflict herewith, 'ge and the sa'rrle are hereby
repealed.
section 4.
The fact tbat certain origina1 city ordinances are 1ost'
or misplaced and/o~ there is conflict between ordinances and
confus ion concernl n2; ordinances, creates an emergency and an
imperative publ:lc necess:lty, wherefore the, second and third.
