BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF WEST UNIVl1:RSITY PLACE: I'h ~,~.. Section 1$ That there is hereby created. a corporation court in and. for said City. Section 2. That the mayor of said. City shall be ex-officio judge of sai d. court; the city clerk shall be ex-officio clerk of said court, and the city marshal shall be ex-officio bailiff of said. court. ' Section 3. 'In all cases which may be tried in said court, the rules of practice prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas for the government of courts of Justices of ~he Peace, in the trial of criminal cases, shall be applied and shall be the rules of the said corpora.tion court. Section 4. The officers of said court shall receive, as their compensation as su~,b officers,' such fees as are allowed by' the laws of this Stat.s to like officers in the courts of Justices of~ the Peace, unless the fees of office of such officers be fixed by city ordinance. Section 6. That all prior ordinances covering the subject-matter of this ordinance and all prior ordinances or any parts thereof that are in conflict herewith, be and the same are'hereby repealed. Section 7. ~~ The fact that certain original city ordinances are lost or misplaced and/or there is conflict between ordinances and , confusion concerning ordinance.s, creates an emergency and an . imperative public necessity, wherefore the second and thibd readings of this ordinance are hereby suspended and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as required by law. ,~ Passed and approved this ~d? d;; of February, 1929.
