BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COl~JISSIOlaRS OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Seotion 1.
The sanitary sewer system of the City of West University PIRce is
, hereby placed under the supervision of the City Water Commissioner who
shall have charge and supervision of the oity sanitary sewer system
inoludiDg all mains, apparatus, equipment and other, property belonging
or appertaining thereto, including any system of drainage whereby foul

waste or superfluous water, gas, vapor, or other fluids are discharged
through a pipe.or pipes from any building, lot, premises, or other
establishllentsy into public or house sewer, drain, pit, box, filter bed,
oess pool or other reoeptacle, privately owned and not connected with
the samitary sewer system of ~he City and the City Water Commissioner
. shall also he charged with the enforcement of all ordinances, rules
and regulations, governing, effecting and pertaining to the sam~-~

Section 2.
There is hereby created a charge of One ($1.00) Dollar per
month for sanitary sev'er service furnished through the S8 ni tary sewer
system of the City of ~est University Place for the purpose of obtain-
[] Lng revenue to oover the cost of maintenance and operation of the city
sanitary sewer system and all expense incidental thereto.

Section 3.
There is hereby created a charge of One ($1.00) Dollar per month
for theplU'pose of covering the cost of inspeotion and supervision of
any and all systems of drainage, privately owned and, operated within
the City of West University Plaoe, not oonneoted with the sanitary

sewer system of the city, whereby foul waste or superfluous water, ga..a,
vapor, or other fluids are, disoharged through a pipe or pipes from any

building, lot, premises, or other establishments, into publio or house
sewer, drain, pit, box, filter bed, cess pool, or other receptaole.
Seotion 4.

The oharges for sanitary sewer servioe and for inspeotion and
supervision of privately owned and operated s~stems of drglnage y'i thin

the City of West University ?laoe shall be due and payable at the City
Hall in the City of West University Plaoe, in oash, on the first day
of each month commenoing with the first day of each month hereafter,
or with the first day of the month following installation of sanitary
sewer 'servioe. If not paid by owner or his agent within thirty (30)
days after beooming due, the Oity ~eserves the right to dicontinue water
servioe, without further notioe, in the manner and as provided in
Ordinanoe No. ]'orty (40), Section No. Thirty-three (33) of the City of
West University Place.
Seotion 5.
Sanit.ary sewer service will not be furnished in any 'case to any
person pther than the owner of the building or premises on which the
sanitary sewer service is furnished, and such Owners or owner shall be
liable for the charges for all sani tary se\~'er serv ice furnished to said

premises, whether occupied or unoccupied or whether there be one or more
tenants tl:lereon,and the Oi ty Vi ill not in any case furnish sanitary
sewer service tQ"tenants on their own responsibility, or look to
