Section IV.
That the compensation of each member of the Equalization
Board shall be $5~OO (five dollars) per day for each day they
serve or are in meeting from August 7th-1933 until their work
is. completed, but not later than ten (10) days after August

Section V.
That the interferring with by any person or persons or the
usurption of authority or duties of the legally appointed Board
shall be in violation of this Ordinance and under Article 1011
of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, be fined, on conviction
in Corporation Court of City of West University Place, or before
a court of competent jurisdiction for interference or usurption
of authority, not in excess of $100.00 and that each day's viola-
tion of this ordinance shall be considered a separate offense and
subject such person or persons to a fine of $100.00 for each day's
violation of this ordinance.
If any La rt of this Ordinance shall be found unconstitutional
it shall .not invalidate any other part or provision of this ordi-
nance, the Council eA~ressing itself that it would have provided
separate ordinances for each separate provisio~ad it any reason
to suppose that any part of this ordinance was not constitutional.

That there exists an emergency making it necessary that the
appointment .01' the Equalization Board be made at once and Cou.ncil
