Notice of Zoning & Planning Commission Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning & Planning Commission (Z&PC) will meet in Special Session on:
Thursday, May 11, 2000
6:45 PM
Bill Watson Conference Room
Municipal Building
3800 University Boulevard
West University Place, Texas

The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of ineeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the agenda will be
permitted to speak to the Z&PC after introducing themselves and giving their address. State law will not
permit the Z&PC to fully discuss, debate or consider items that are not on the agenda. Items that cannot be
referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on the agenda of a future Z&PC meeting.
3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda items will be
permitted to speak to the Z&PC after introducing themselves and giving their address.
4. Approval of Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the April 13 & April 17, 2000
meetings.
5. Zoning Ordinance Report & Discussioo. Matters relating to the overview and discussion of a selected
section of the Code of Ordinance (Marilyn Gri~n).
6. Omnibus I Plan Development. Matters relating to review and discussion of Chapter 20 "Subdivision
Regulations" and the following sections of the zoning ordinance: placement of inechanical equipment
(including possible changes and rating requirements), garage door openings (clarification of rule), exterior
materials (including possible fire resistant requirements), common wall requirements for attached dwellings
(including clarification of four hour fire wall requirement), division of lots and building sites, retaining walls, ~
sidewalks, curbs and gutters, PNC (Prior non-conformities including loss of PNC status by lapse of time
"sunset items"), other PNC issues, definitions (e.g. family, front street line), commercial uses, h~_ ~
measurement, sexually oriented businesses, and related matters.

7. Right of Way Ordinance. -I~atters relating to utilities arid other 'regulated facilities in the right o~ ~ti~ay.

8. ~Ruskin Street Issues. lVlatters relating to the PDD TH-6 and related Ruskin Street issues (i.e. parking).
9. Peripheral Plan Development. Matters relating to peripheral areas & commercial development
