MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
SEP'PEMBER 19, 1953
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in Special Session on September 19,
1953, with the fallowing members present: Mr. Ed Davis, presiding; Messrs.
Hannah, Halbert, Taylor and A. G. Davis.
An architectural drawing of a ~+8 unit apartment project was submitted by
Mr. H. R. Houck, owner of Lots 2, 3, ~+, 5, and 6, Block 7, Cunningham Terrace
Ad ition whic are in the commercial zoned area, with a request that the
Zoning Ordinance be amended to permit a setback of 20 Ft. on Stella Link
Road for this proposed construction instead. of 30 Ft. as required for prop-
erty in the retail business districts.
Motion by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Hannah that the Board recommend ap-
proval of the request of Mr. H. R. Houck to construct a ~+8 unit apartment
project on Lots 2, 3, ~, 5, and 6, Block 7, Cunningham Terrace Addition with
a setback of 20 Ft. on Stella Link Road instead of 30 Ft.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
Mr. L. F. Hilty, requested permission to divide the South 80' of Lots 6 and
7 and the North 35 Ft. of Lot 5, Block 15, West University Place 1st Addition
into two tracts as follows:
Tract No. 1 to consist of the North 35' of Lot 5 and the
South 25' of Lots 6 and 7, composing a tract 60 x 2O0'.
Tract No. 2 to consist of the North 55' of the South 80' of
Lots 6 and 7, composing a tract 55 x 200'.
Motion by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Hannah that the Board recommend ap-
proval of the request of Mr. L. F. Hilty to divide the South 80' of Lots
6 and 7 and the North 35' of Lot 5, Block 15, West University Place 1st
Addition into two tracts, 60 x 200 Ft. and 55 x 200 Ft.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
The request of Mr. T. J. Moody, 2611 Carolina Way, for permission to erect
a second story on his existing garage to be used as servant's quarters and
a playroom, was again considered.
Motion by Mr. Hannah, seconded by Mr. A. G. Davis that the Board recommend
approval of the request of Mr. T. J. Moody, 2611 Carolina Way for per-
mission to erect a second story on his existing garage to be used as ser-
vant's quarters and a playroom, subject to execution of affidavit that the
structure will not be used for commercial purposes; .this recounnendation
based on the fact that the application is not in violation of the existing
ordinance permitting servants quarters where they are occupied by servants
working on the premises.

With no further business to come ,before the Board at this dine, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
