MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
sEPTEr~ER 3, 1953
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in Special Session at the City Hall on
'Thursday, September 3, 1953, 7:34 P.M. with the following members present:
Mr. Ed Davis, presiding; Mr. A. G. Davis and Mr. H. C. Halbert. Mr. Chas.
`Taylor and Mr. David Hannah were absent.
Mr. J. M. Bricaud, 6~~+5 Sewanee, requested permission to subdivide Lot 12,
Block 2 , West University Place 1st Addition into two 50 x 150 Ft. lots.
Mr. Bricaud submitted a plat of the property which showed the existing house
would be within the proper setback lines if the lot is subdivided as requested.
Motion by 1+Rr. Halbert, seconded by Mr. Davis that the Board recommend ap-
proval of the request of Mr. J. M. Bricaud to subdivide Lot 1.2, Block 28,
West University Place 1st Addition into two 50 x 150 Ft. lots to front on
Sewanee Street.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
Mr. Don Swope, 6~+6 Rutgers Street, submitted a request to construct an
addition 10 x 20 Ft. to the rear of his existing garage for the purpose of
storage space for a boat and trailer.
Motion by Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Halbert that the request of Mr. Don
Swope, 6~+~+6 Rutgers Street, for permission to construct an addition 10 x 20 Ft.
to the rear of his existing garage for the purpose of storing a boat and
trailer be approved subject to no plumbing installation and execution of an
affidavit that the addition will not be used for commercial purposes.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
Mr. Glenn $. Sta.nbaugh 3+11 Tangle , requested permission to construct an
1 x 2 Ft. addition over his present garage to be used as combination
playroom, darkroom and storage space. Mr. Stanbaugh stated that the room would
not be used as living quarters; there would be no sanitary sewer connection
and no other plumbing other than water for the dark zoom. The Board deferred
action on this request for further study.
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
