MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
JULY 10, 1953
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in special session on Friday, July 10,
1953, with the following members present: Mr. Roy Maley, presiding; Messrs.
Halbert, Davis and Taylor. Mr. Hannah was absent.
The request of Mr. B. L. Smythe, 6429 Sewanee Street, for permission to move
a 12 x 24 Ft. prefabricated building to the rear of his present dwelling to
be attached and converted into a den, laundry room and. storage closet was
considered. The Board did not consider the request as a zoning matter, never-
theless the following-action was taken:
Motion by Mr. Halbert, seconded by Mr. Taylor that the request_of Mr. B. L.
Smythe to move a 12 x 24 Ft. prefabricated building to the. rear of his present
dwelling be recommended for approval provided the building will conform to
the building and electrical code and will be structurally attached to the
existing dwelling and the same side setback lines as the existing dwelling
at the point where it is to be attached which is approximately 7 Ft. be ob-
served; and further provided that no plumbing facilities be installed except
those which are necessary for the customary home laundry machine and that the
owner execute an affidavit that the addition will not be used for commercial
purposes.

Voting Nc None
The request of Mr. George S. Cummins, to subdivide Lot 9, Bleck 10, West
University Place lst Addition into two lots 50 x 200 Ft. was also considered.
Motion by Mr. Halbert, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the request of Mr. Cummins
to subdivide Lot 9, Block 10, West University Place 1st Addition into two
lots of 50 x 200 Ft. be recommended for approval.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
