MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
JANUARY 8, 1953
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall,
Thursday January 8, 1953, 7:30 P.M. with the following members present:
Mr. Roy Maley, presiding; Messrs.. Hannah and Davis. Mr. Halbert was absent.
Mrs. Virginia Tartoue, appeared before the Board requesting that restrictions
be waived on Lot , Block 10, Virginia Court to permit construction of a
duplex. No: action was taken on the request at this time but Mrs. Tartoue
was advised that consideration would be given the request after a study has
been made.
s~:- Mr. Kirksey Young, 6001 Charlotte Street requested permission to erect a
~+ x 20 Ft. addition to-the south side of his existing garage for the purpose
`~~ of storing mowers and lawn tools.

"'r Motion by Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Hannah that the Board recommend that the
request of Mr. Kirksey Young, 6001 Charlotte Street for permission to erect
a ~+ x 20 Ft. addition to the south side of his existing garage for the pur-
pose of storing mowers and lawn tools be approved subject to execution of
affidavit.
Voting Aye: All
Voting No None
Mr. Carey Williamson, representing the West University Baptist Church, appeared
before the Board requesting that Lot 7, Block 19, Collegeview 1st Addition
which was recently purchased by the church be designated for church purposes.
No action was taken at this time on Mr. Williamson's request as there was
some question as to whether the house now located on the lot could be used for
sunday school class rooms since it is not a fireproof building.
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
