Mrs. P. C. Cronin, 2623 Amherst, requested the Board to recommend approval
for the erection of a carport at her home located on Lot 8, Block 12, Virginia
Court Addition. Mrs. Cronin explained to the Board that her lot was only x+7.35
Feet wide and she did not have enough space on either side of the house for
a driveway in order to construct a garage or carport for her automobile.
Originally there had been an attached garage which was converted into a bed-
room and Mrs,- Cronin wished to have the carport erected in front of the bed-

front property line.

"~ Council that the request of PfIrs. Cronin, 2623 Amherst for permission to add a
carport to the front of the existing dwelling to extend within 18 Feet of the

Zonint Ordinance for this difference in the Sq. Ft. requirements and suggested
that he make a revision in the plans submitted which he agreed to do. No action
was taken at -this time.
Mrs. L. G. Gaines, owner of Lot 16, Block 1, and Lot 1, Block 2, Monticello,
requested the Board to recommend approval for erection of a duplex or apartment
building on these lots. The Board advised Mrs. Gaines that they would not con-
sider a, chanr;e in zoning restrictions for one cr two pieces of property but
suggested that she contact other property owners on Bissonnet in Monticello
Addition and if a petition was signed by other property owners that they also
desired the property rezoned for apartments or duplexes consideration would
then be given tc the matter.

and a group of Baptist Church members requested that action be taken to re-zone
lots 16, 17 and 18, Block 15, Collegeview 3rd Addition for cY~urch purposes in
order that two frame buildings now located on the c'::urch property at Auden and
Milton may be moved thereon. The Board considered the advisability of granting.
the request on a temporary basis for a period of three years but representatives
of the Church indicated they preferred a permanent change or none. Under these
