HomeMy WebLinkAbout04101952 ZPC Minutes1~~ MINUTE OF REGtJLAR MF,FTINC~ ZONING & PLANNING BOARD APRIL 10, 1952 The Zoning and Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall on Thursday, Apri1.10, 1952, 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Mr. Roy Maley, presiding; Messrs. Goff, Morris, Moss and Riggs. Mr. Thomas D. Ketchbaw, 3129 Sunset Blvd., requested permission to erect a carport in front of his existing garage which is'attached to the house and fronts on Sunset Blvd. The proposed carport would extend into the front setback line to within approximately three feet of the front property line. .After consideration of this request, the following action was taken: Motion by Mr. Moss, seconded by J~Sr. Riggs, that. the Board recommend to the City Council that the request of Mr. Thomas D. Ketchbaw, for permission to erect a carport in front of his existing attached garage be denied. for reason that the proposed structure would be in violation of the front yard lot coverage in a single family dwelling district as specified in Section 24, paragraph (1) of Ordinance No. 111. Voting Aye: All Voting No : None A request from Mr. E. J. Braun, 6520 Brompton Road, for permission to erect a 16 x 17 Ft. storage room onto the rear of the present attached garage at the above address, was submitted to the Board. A~otion by ?fir. Riggs, secondee~ by ~+Ir. Morris, that the Board recommend approval of the request of Mr. E. J. Braun for permission to erect a 16 x 17 Ft. storage room on the rear of the present attached garage at 6520 Brompton, subject to execution of the usual affidavit that the struc- ture will not be used for commercial purposes. Voting Ayes All Voting No None Action was deferred on a request from the Trunkline Gas Company for per- mission to build a tool shed on the back of their property at 5b50 Kirby :Drive and a request from the West University Baptist Church for permission to move the present Sundajs School buildings located on the corner of Milton and Auden Streets to Lots 16, 17, and 18, Block 15, College View Third Addition. 1 1 ~~ith no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion duly made, .seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned. ;' SECR~:T'ARY /~ ~~ CHAIRMAN
