MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
August 9 L1951
The Eoning and Planning Board convened in Special Session Thursday,
August 9, 1951, 7:30 P. M. with the following members present:.
Mr. Maley, presiding; Messrs. Goff, Tviorris and Pdoss, Mr. Riggs
was .absent.
Mr. William Croft wised by letter dated July 25th, 1951, that he had
purchased 50 x 150 Ft. of Lot lO, Block 38, West University Place lst
Addition, and when he requested a building permit, learned that the lot
had not been officially subdivided by the City of West University Place.
Motion by Mr. Morris, seconded by Mr. Goff, with respect to the request
of Mr. William Croft to subdivide Lot 10, Block 3$, West University Place
1st Addition into two 50 x 150 Ft. lots, (1) that a public hearing be
held to consider amending Ordinance No. 111 to permit subdivision of said
lot, (2) that all property owners within 200 Ft. be notified by mail .that
application has been made to subdivide the lot, and (3) that the Council
be governed in its action in the matter by the preponderance of opinion
of the property owners involved as"expressed at the public hearing.
Voting Aye: All

The Zoning Board was advised by letter dated August
Mr. R. B. Johnson, owner of the West 32~ Ft. of Lot
University Place lst ;addition, desired to deed this
to the Boy Scout Organization in order that they ma;

Mr. Moss stated that in his opinion it was not within the province of
the Board to pass on the proposition submitted by Mr. Johnson, except to
that portion referring to the erection of a structure thereon, and it was
his opinion that a request for a permit to erect such a building would be
declined if and when submitted to the Zoning Board. All members of the
Board present concurred in the opinion expressed by Mr. Moss.
?N"ith no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
