MINUTES GP REGULAR MEETING
ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
July 19, 1951
The Zoning and Planning Board convened in regular session at the
City Hall on Thursday, July 19,.1951, with the following members
present: Mr. Maley, presiding; Messrs. Goff, Morris, Moss and Riggs.
A letter from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company dated July 12,
1951, requesting permission to erect an open type car storage building
at the rear of Lot 17, Cambridge Place Addition on the Northeast corner
of Bellaire and Academy Street was read by the members of the Zoning
Board. The letter requested that the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
be permitted to erect the building with a light steel frame and a
galvanized corrugated iron roof. The proposed use of the building as
stated in the letter is to house twenty of the company~s installation
trucks.
Motion by Mr. Riggs, seconded by Mr. Goff that the request of the
Southwestern Bell Telephone Company dated July 12, 1951, be denied
for reason that the use of the proposed structure would be in violation
of Section 3, Paragraph 2 of the City's Zoning Ordinance.

With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
