.The Zoning & Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall
February 15, 1951, 7:30 P.I~I. with the following members present:
ivlr, ?oy T;laley, presiding; yessrs. Moss and Riggs. Pti`essrs. Goff and
1,~orris were absent.
l~lr. T. H. F'~edman, 3730 Robinhood, appeared bef ore the Board requesting
permission to erect a 10x1 Ft. addition to his existing garage for purpose
of increasing his present r~orkshop area.

lotion by Lir. llfioss, seconded by P~Ar. Riggs that the request of PTs. T. H. Redman,
3730 Robinhood,.f or permission to erect a 10x18 Ft. addition to his exist-
ing garage for purpose of increasing workshop area be recommended for
approval, subject to the execution of an affidavit by :r. Redman that the
building will not be used for commercial purposes.

?~>Zr. Jack Ehman, representing the hest University Place Plethodist Church
submitted plans for a ~~roposed sanctuary to be located at the corner of
lercer St,~and University blvd. with a letter requesting that set-back
restrictions on ~~Tercer Street be waived in order to permit a 19 Ft.
portion of the proposed building to extend 12' beyond the regular 25'
building line on Mercer Street as sho~^rn on plat submitted.
A~otion by l:lr. Riggs seconded by llr. gloss that the letter from the aYest
University ivlethociist Church together with the plat showing property and
improvements of the ':`vest University i~iethodist Church be referred to the
City Council with a recommendation that the City attorney be requested to
give an opinion as to whether or not there are any set-back provisions
required by the Zoning Ordinance on ;oroperty zoned for church purposes and
in event there are none, the Board recommends that the City Council approve
the present plans without necessity of application by the Church for waiving
restrictions.

ls. J. B. Drake, appeared before the tjoard advising that he desired to
construct a six room house on Lot 3, plock 6, 4'(JP 1st .Addition with approx-
imately 35:~ brick instead of using l;o brick as is require in this area
by the `Coning Ordinance. Dlr. Itrake submitted a sketch of the 6600 31ock
on 3elmont Street ~rhich shojved that all existing houses in the block ti~rere
constructed of frame with exception of one which does contain 50~ brick.
I'~otion by wlr. Riggs, seconded by lair. ~Aoss that the application ofiJ:r. J. B.
Drake for permission to construct a 6 room house on Lot 3, Block 6, '+vUP -
lst Addition ~^rith 35~ brick exterior and the balance of shakes be
recommended for ap~oroval.
