MIIQITTES OF R~GUr~R r.~r;rING ZONING & PLAdIQIvG BOARD NOVF~d7BLR 17, 1950 The newly appointed members of the Zoning, & Planning Board of the City of u+~est University Place convened in Special Session at the City Hall on Friday, November 17, 1950, 7:00 P.M, with the following members present: rr2r. Chas. Taylor, acting as temporary Chairman; filessrs. Robert ~~. Goff, Roy r~aley and bdwin ~"T. 1~~Iorris. Ntr. A. C. Doss was absent. The Oath of Office was administered to the newly appointed members by I~4ayor H. ~:. 'Terry. Mr. Taylor stated that the first order of business would be the election of a permanent Chairman. rrlotion by fir. Taylor, seconded by rt.r. Goff that l~~~ir. Roy i'tiialey be elected Chair- man of the Zoning and Planning Board for the ensuing two years. Voting ~1,ye : All Voting Noe: None id~r. rdalejr then took the chair and the following business was transacted: It was reported to the Board that an addition to a garage building located at 602 Belmont Street and. ctivned by !sirs. ~~~~1abe1 Ali{ire was being rented as separate living quarters in addition to the main dwelling unit on the lot. It was re- ported that a building permit had been issued for construction of a servant quarters at this address in 19l~2, but no plumbing or electrical permits ~*,ere issued. i~!'otion by Mr. ^laylor, seconded by P1r. Morris that the Board recommend to the City Council that the Building Inspector be instructed to investigate the premises at 6102 Belmont and make a report back to the Council for further action if a violation of the Zoning Ordinance is found. Voting Aye: All Voting Noe: None I~r. H. H, Hilburn 3922 Case St. requested permission to construct a storage .room approximately xl Ft. in connection with his present garage building. LZotion by iv?r. Taylor, seconded by Fv~r. Goff that application of vlr. H. H. Hilburn, 3922. Case St. for permission to erect a storage room approximately 8x16 Ft. in connection ~.~rith his existing garage be recommended for approval subject to: (1) Filing of affidavit to the effect that the new construction will not be used for commercial purposes nor as a rental unit, (2) Furnishing of a drawing showing the proposed improvements, and (3) Showin that new construction together with existing construction will not exceed l~0~ of the sq. foot area of the lot. C. r~Ialewitz, 6532 Belmont, requested the Board's recommendation for ~~ approval of a proposed laundry room in connection with the garage build- ing now being constructed at this address. emotion by sir. L.~iorris that the request of Dr. NTalewitz for permission to construct a laundry room in connection with his arage building be recommended for approval subject to the laundry room being built according to dimensions and plans as shown on the print submitted and sub jec+~ to filing of affidavit by Dr. IVlalewitz to effect that the said construction will not be used for commercial purposes.
