JIJ~dE 6, 1949
A special meeting of the Zoning Board was held on June 6, 149, with the
following members present: Mr. 0. G. King, presiding; Mr. Duncan Allen,
Mr. Franklin Jones and fir. Roy Maley. Mr. Harry Chavanne was absent.
The meeting was held for the purpose of considering several requests de-
siring as prompt action as possible in order to be able to ta:;e advantage
of vacation time for making improvements.
Mr. Geo. Ad. Posey, 300? Nottingham, requested approval of his enclosed
plans for building a one car garage with storage room and an open ear port
attached to and located in front of the one ear garage, building to be of
""°' 105 siding and wo~~d shingle roof .

..~; Motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by dir. Allen that Mr. Posey'srequest be
approved provided he furnish affidavit stating that the storage room will
.~~° not be used for rental as living quarters nor for any other commercial
purpose.

Voting No None
Dr. R. F. Herndon 323 Rice Boulevard, requested approval of .his enclosed
plans for an 1 ' x l~' hobby wood working shop) attached`to his present
1$' x 1$' two-car garage, same to be of 105 siding to match the existing
garage.
Motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Allen that Dr. Herndon's request be
approved provided he furnish affidavit to the effect that this shop building
will not in any way be used for commercial purposes. _

Voting No : None
~,dr. C. I,. La Fleur 4214 Amherst, requested approval of his plans to move
rom 234 erst to 42I erst, a green house 15' x 21t' }~.th 6' side
walls. This green house to be used for pleasure and as a-hobby for
growing flowers.
Motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Allen that Mr. La Fleur's request be
approved subject to his execution of an affidavit that he nor any member
of his family, nor any other person residing in the same residence, will
sell or offer for sale any flowers, shrubs, vines, trees, or plants of
any other. type.
Voting Aye; Mr. King, Mr. Jones and Mr. Allen.
Voting No Mr. Maley
Mr. C. H. Seward 6437 Vanderbilt, requested approval of his plans to
bui a resi ence at the above address in front of residence located on
rear of same lot and lived in for several years, request supported by pe-
tition signed by sixteen property owners within 200' of said lot.

reason that lot located at 61137 Vanderbilt is in a single fa~aily area.
