Hannah, pre- siding; Members Brici~er', 'Hilton and Lott. Mr. Travis was out of the city. _ _ r~ Chairman Hannah announced that the Public Hearing called for 7;30.p.m. for the purpose of considering subdivision of Lot ~+, Block 21,~West _University Place First Addition into two lots each 50 X 150 feet to front on Buffalo Speedway, as requested by the owner, Mrs. A. W. Mc Stravick, was now. in session. He stated for the-record, that notice had been duly published in the official newspaper of the city on April 28, 1965, and that notice had been mailed to all property owners within two hundred feet of the property in question on April 26 , 1965. He then asked that thus present desiring to be heard in connection with the proposed subdivision, rise and be sworn in. Those present desir- ing to be heard were: Mr. J. A. Metcalf, 6320 Buf`Palo Speedway, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Beaver, 6317 Rutgers, and the owner, Mrs. A. W. Mc Stravick, 6328 Buffalo Speedway. Mr. Metcalf stated that he was in favor of the subdivision of this prop- erty. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver stated that they came .primarily as observers, but that they questioned whether dividing the remaining large lots might decrease value of surrounding property. Mr. Hannah explained that it was the general concensus that it would have the .opposite effect,. and would increase the value of the surrounding property, because of new homes 'being constructed. Mrs. McStravick merely explained to the Com- mission that she desired to subdivide the property as she. had stated in her application to the Commission. Mr. Hannah then read letters .from the following persons, stating that. they had no opposition to the pro- posed subdivision: Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Sample, 3201 University Boulevard, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Snob le, 6336 Buffalo Speedway. Motion, by Mr. Lott, seconded by Mr. Hilton, that as there were no further persons desiring to be heard, the hearing called for the. purpose of con- sidering subdivision of Lot 4, Block 21, 1st University Place First Addition, be closed. Voting Aye: All Voting No: None Motion by Mr. Lott, seconded by Mr. Hi~on, that the request of Mrs. A. W. McStravick be .granted for subdivision of Lot ~-, Block 21, West University Place First Addition intwo two lots each 50 X 150 feet to front on Buffalo Speedway, providing. that any structures placed on the lots conform with the building requirements of the City of West University Place and the zoning ordinance.
