The Zoning and Planning Commission convened in regular session at the
City Hall on Thrusday, September 10, 196+, 7:~ p.m., with the following
members present: Chairman Hannah, presiding; Members Goff, Hilton and
Lott.
REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 10, 196+
Chairman Hannah read a letter received from ;~
which they requested re-zoning ~~F' uart of Lot 5

Motion by dir. }Goff, .seconded by Mr. Lott, that the Zoning and Planning
Commissi,Qn recommend. to the City Commission; ~~~aat.;~he~ xeques,t ,of the Socony
Mobil Oil Company for re-zoning of part Tof Lot 5. and all of Lot 6, Block 2,
Bissonnet Place, for service station use, be denied, inasmuch as this would
be considered spot zoning...

Chairmen Hannah read a letter addressed to Mayor Holman with a copy to
Mr.. Hannah, f'rpm ~?~. W. W. ~wmari, dated August 27, 196+, advising of
his resi~znation from the Zoning and Planning Commission, as he is moving
from the city. The Commission desires that the minutes reflect their
appreciation for his services and their regrets of his resignation.
The Zoning, and Planning Commission once again gave consideration to the
request received from Mayor Holman, .that the Commission recommend regu-
lations for construction of churches on residential lots in the city,
including parking, erection of signs, financial responsibility, etc.
The Commission formulated an outline of major points for consideration
which each member is to study, and at the next me ing their ideas will
be combined for a final report to the City Commi~on on their recommendation.
With no further business to come before the
