REGULAR MEETIlVG OF ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION
JULY 9, 196+
The Zoning and Planning Commission convened in regular session. at the
City Hall on Thursday, July. g, 1964, 7.:30 p.m., with the :following mem-
hers present: Chairman David Hannah,. presiding; Members Bowman, Goff
and Hilton. Mr. Lott was absent..
In view of the fact that the Board had no urgent business to consider at
this time, the meeting was recessed with the .following motion:
Motion by Mr. Hilton, seconded by Mr. Bowman, that the Zoning, and Plan-
ning Connnission recess until 7:.30 p~m., Thursday, July 16, 1964.
Voting Aye: All. Vot'. g No: None
With no further business to come before the Commission at this time,
upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, th meeting was recessed.

The Zoning and Planning Commission convened in recessed session on Thursday,
July 16, 1864, at 7:30 p.m, at the City 'Hall with the following members
present: Chairman Hannah, presiding; Members Goff, Hilton and Lott. Mr.
Bowman was absent.
In accordance with the request received of the City Commission, the Zoning
and Planning Commission gave consideration to a rough ,draft of a proposed
amendment to the zoning ordinance number 111 to grant specific authority
to the Zoning Board of Adjustment to adopt Rules of Procedure and to be
able to amend such rules. .After discussion, the following .action was taken:
Motion by Mr. Hilton, seconded by Mr. Lott, that the proposed amendment,
allowing the Zoning Board of Adjustment to adopt rules of procedure and to
be able to amend such rules, is a beneficial and necessary addition to
zoning ordinance number 111, and the Zoning and Planning Commission hereby
recommends its adoption.

Motion by Mr. Hilton, seconded by Mr. Goff,. that a Public Hearing be
called for 7:30 p,m.-, August ° 13, 196+, ,for the purpose of consider-
ing amending zoning ordinance number 111 to permit the adoption of
Rules of Procedure by the Zoning Board of Adjustment, to allow any
citizens to be heard in. connection with'. the proposed amendment, and
that the City Secretary be instructed to publish notice of said. Hearing
in a newspaper of general circulation on Wednesday, July 22, and July 29,
196-.
Voting Aye: .All Voting No: None
Motion by Mr. Goff, seconded by Mr. Hilton, that a report of this meeting
of the Zoning and Planning Commission, together with their recommendations,
be forwarded to the City Commission, and that a copy of it be filed with
the City Secretary to be available for inspection by any interested parties.
