Chairman Rice, presidingy Messrs. Gill, Hannah and Wvngarden. Mr. King was" absent. V Mr. Carl E. J. Dube, ~+607 Oakx°idge appeared before the Board regarding Lot l,A, Block 5 , West University Place Second Addition said lot being on the south side o Georgetown and adjacent to the Poor Farm Ditc:~., and being a 50 1> 150 foot lot.. On Januar;,r 23,195-, Mr. Dube granted an easement to the Harris County Flood Con- tro1 District of 20 feet along t-.e west side of the lot for improvement to the Foor Farm Ditch. On January 11, 1960, a suit claim deed was submitted. to the Harr. is Countyr Flood Control District, which. will subtract 122 feet from the easement. Nir. Dube inquired if a residence can be built on the lot. Motion b~.r Nyr. Hannah, seconded by Mr. Gill, that if a request for a building per- mit is made, providing that standard requirements are met, such permit be approved because reg~.rdless of the easement, N1r. Kingman's report of December 19, 1955, indicates e~,isting garage is about 22 feet from the inside propert~~ line if the .lot is divided. Motion by Mr. Hannah seconded bJr Mx'. Wyngarden, that subdivision as requested be granted subject to a 5 feet setback being established on the north property line of the south half of the lot since t'~:e e<.isting garage on the north half of the lot i~ onl;~r 22 feet from the inside property line when the lot is divided. Voting Ayre; All. Voting No: None. (Reference; Action by City Commission on July 13, 19.59, regarding Lots 1 w 2, Block 24, West University Place First Addition.) Mr. J. L. Oppermar., of Opperman Realtz,~ Company, appeared before the Board with a request for rezoning of Lots 9 l0 and 11 of Block 3 Cunningham Terrace, for use as a parking lot in conjunction with a roposed doctors' and dentists clinic. The proposed clinic, a one-story building,.. is to be located on Lots 3, , 5 and 6, and a 100 x 215 fOOt portion of Lot 26, Block 7, Cambridge Place. The Board offered Mr. Opperman no encouragement in regards to the proposed re- zoning of Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 3, Cunningham Terrace. J.A~~. Mr. Gill suggested the clinic plans be revised to provide parking on the street level on the area proposed for the clinic. Pw1r. Opperman withdrew for further consultation with his clients. Mr. H. W, Strickland forwarded a letter request for subdivision of ?.ot 8. Block 20, West University Place First Addition,. Motion by Mr. Hannah, seconded by Per. Wyngarden, that Mr. Strickland's request be tabled pending additional information inasmuch as this request involves creation of small lots in an area where large lots exist without exception. Voting Aye: A11. Voting No: None. With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned. Chair. Secret-:Ary 1
