REGULAR MEETING OF ZONING & PLANNING BOARD
MARCH 12, 19>g
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall,
7:3o P.M., Thursday, March 12, 1959, with the following me~bers present:
Chairman Horace Rice, presiding; Messrs. Gill, Hannah and Wyngarden. Mr.
0. C. King could not be present at t].~e meeting due to a previous business
engagement.
A petition dated February 17, 195,;, and signed by 31 residents and prop-
erty owners of Tangley Terrace was presented. to the oar or c e on.
The petition requested the Board to use all their. legally authorized

ermined to advertise such property for sae or rest en is purposes
only." The request was in relation o a s a e corner o zr y r ve
and Tangley Road which are being advertised for sale for commercial pur-
poses. A review of the property restrictions indicated that the Zoning
Ordinance passed in 1g37 provided for the property to be used for commercial
purposes; however, private deed restrictions placed on the .property in
19+1 during development of the Tangley Terrace Subdivision provided far
the lots to be used for single family residences only.
After the Board studied the .provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, it was
their decision that the problem outlined in t~~.e petition is outside the`
scope of the Zoning & Planning Board; therefore the petition is to be for-
warded to the City Commission for their consideration.
With no further business to come before the. Board at this time, upon.
motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
