MINUTES OF ZONING & PLANNING BOARD MEETING
DECEMBER 12, 1857
The Zoning & Planning Board convened in regular session at the City Hall on
Thursday, December 12, 1957, 7;30 P.M. with-the following msmbers present; Mr.
A. G. Davis, presiding; Messrs. Campbell, Gill, Rice and Wilson. Mr. David -
Iiannah was absent.

Motion by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Rice that the Board recommend-that the
request of Mr. George E. Housen to rezone Lot lOB, Block 25, West University
Place First Addition for the purpose_of constructing a duplex for rental pur-
poses be denied, as this would be considered spot zoning.

Mrs. Bee Wright of .the Bee Wright Realty Company and Mrs. Eloise M. Garrett
appeare a ore the Boar requesting that action be to en to permit subdivision
of the east one-half of Lot 1 and south 25' x 100', Biock 10, West University
Place rs ion. I was explaine that the lot was owned by J. P. Martin,
and Mrs. Garrett was desirous of purchasing the lot provided she may, in the
future, build a home on the 50 x 100' vacant section dust north of the existing
house.
Tt was explained to Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Garrett that application for subdi-
vision of the lot would have to be made by the owner of the property, and it
was also suggested that the property be surveyed to be sure there would be suf-
ficient space on the vacant section for an additional residence.
With no further business to come before the Board at this time, upon motion
duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
